Very good game, nicely challenging,
But i had all the upgrades (10 raduis, 8 armor, 5 size) and managed to not lose a single live in a level.
Then at the upgrade screen i couldn't select anything because they were all full. You forgot a "You win" screen in the game. Of course the game couldnt progress.
Congratulations on making something unique.

Awesome game :)
Managed to finish it, and there is nothing after the skull apart from credits
Also it goes red guy -> gold guy -> pink guy
and i think there was a bug with the skull, since it didn't attack me :P

This game is tough but buggy
I made it to lvl 14 but just couldnt take the 6 silver tanks down fast enough, what doesnt help at all is the bugged normal tanks that i cant finish off with the machine gun and have to waste a cannon shot on
also i got a triple cannon which just hits a wider range then for more
I suggest let the normal tanks die by machine gun and increase the dmg of the cannon since my triple machine gun does far more damage.
As for how to play this ignore 2x dmg, and i did upgrade machine gun, upgrade cannon, upgrade reload, upgrade machine gun, upgrade reload upgrade cannon, upgrade machine gun then you'll hit lvl 10 by now so your forced to spend all your points on +100 hp since those silver tanks are tough as nails :(
Another problem is that you need the quad machine gun to kill helicopters, double / triple machine gun cant "finish" it off.
All weapons can hurt but cant deal the killing blow.
Actaully i would say upgrade machine gun twice, upgrade cannon upgrade machine gun, upgrade reload, upgrade machine gun, upgrade reload x2 / 3 until your forced to heal since the sivler tanks are TOUGH!
Good luck ^^
and please fix these immortal helicopters/ tanks :p also down grade the silver tanks a bit about -20% hp should make this game more doable
Also i got 3rd with 23k score :P \o/ i think the top2 were beta testers aka you or one of ur friends

Truely one of the best flash games ive ever played :) Loving it,
There are a few poitns that should be fixed.
1) can we have a minimum of lvl 3 for the games we set up ;) i dont want to lose my legendary frog and other lvl 4 cards :D
2) The X joined, and Y left in the lobby spams the hell out of it making chatting hard :P
3) Dont automatically end games, i want to continue talking to people even just for "GG" or "unlucky" or "DEAR GOD WHAT AN AWESOME CARD"
Also a play again option would be nice, and a friend list would be sweet :)

Really nice game :)
Ive got a question how are the records done, i can see that the people or room i share the records with are half bots at least (since the scores reset to the same amount with diff ppl, those cant be real players) just wondering whether im competiting againts bots alone? (or even againts a random number generator :P)
Oh and also the best i got was 4077. how can people avoid trees whilst being that big and also going that fast O_O, ive maxed the tree reduction one, and working on speed (the speed at the beginning is stupid now :P)
Author's Response:
Yes, at the beginning, at top speed, it is hard to control. But once you get bigger, you'll be lucky to have it.
About the records, yea, you see that there is no "Connecting to server..." or "Waiting for connection"... Which means the people in the game are bots. I have a generator that can generate hundred of thousands of different names... lol

This idea has been done before, and it has been done better, there is actaully an older game called deathworm and the worm looks very similar. it wouldnt be so bad if this older game didnt do a much better job of it

very good for a first flash game. Nice pixel graphics. I can use some improvements, mainly the silence :p, just rip some random music track in the background and some clang noises for combat.
In the next chapter it would be cool to see a level up system and maybe some other skills like fury (damage vs hp trade off seems unbalanced towards losing hp) the +max hp potion should give you the 10hp for free as with only one recovery point and limited potions it seems quite useless. Money and a shop for potions could be cool, along with any other suitable things, maybe let us buy skills or extra atk/def points. DIAGONAL movement should be put in as it makes walking more smooth.
(*spoiler*) Oh and did the game end abruptly with him and lina walking to town. there wasn't any "end of chapter 1" thingy so im not sure. Add that in if it does end there, and if it didnt i did something wrong :p

Thanks for the feedback raynos!
btw. at the end there is a message. But since my message system in the game is poor its very likely you haven't seen it cause it goes fast :{

Like the one before me says, there is a bug at the second boss, it loads the first boss instead and crashes, which saddens me as i almost finished the game :P, with my warrior!, FIX THE BUG PLEASE
I've just realized you can buy a sword multiple times to increase its power, shame you cant do that with shields or armour, it would be a nice touch if you the shield upgrades every time you buy a new one, by like 10% and same for the Armour, although the 70coin Armour should upgrade by 5% reduction and the shield by 30 hp every time. in a similar style to the sword,
Also a separate combo meter in a corner would be nicer then the small numbers over his head, just something simple like a black circle with counting numbers, and the word combo under it. Also the controls on a laptop are fine, i'm playing on one but i have a usb mouse :P
for those still finding the game hard, a warrior with a shield and sword does fine, you have to learn that you have a bit more range with your sword then theirs, and that you can avoid arrows by turning sideways. Invest your points in something useful like attack speed and strength. and buy a new shield every 2 rounds upto round 4 or 6 then every round, upgrade your primary sword to 5 as soon as you can. you can try using the bigger one, not sure whether the attack speed goes up at higher levels, but if it doesn't then i don't think it is worth it.
Like other people have recommended, a bonus when you level up would be nice, like full health, or +2 max hp or something more interesting like a glowing aura that kills enemies around you, or the ability to kill enemies by touch for 3secs
The information about the skills helped a little but it was too basic, could you please add some better statistics, like how much base damage you do for strenght, how many times you can attack a minute for attack speed , how much damage/healing and how long for the special power, the charge time for the recharge, (i presume the walk speed is actual and it doesn't feel like the damage and attack speed doubled when they were at 2). and either update the information when you add a point, or show a +X for every point added on the information.
Also its rather hard to collect all the money that is dropped with a slower character, Perhaps instead of having to collect the money in the level, give it at the end of the level. And if you find that removes the challenge of collecting the money, perhaps give 3/4therith instead of 5 per "coin throwing" and maybe add a small therith bonus if someone got 2 or more "coin throwing"'s,
Oh and finally do you have an English website set up yet, or is it only Italian?
Ray
Again "constructive critism"
Oh and almost forgot, you've made an awesome game even better! good job!
Author's Response:
Phew... quite a lot of things!
I'll try to keep them in mind, especially the combo one and the armor upgradings (not shield... unless i separate buying and repairing...)
As for the money... maybe an autocollect or a "magnetic pick up" would help... I'll try something.
Thank you for the good review.
Ps: the site is only in italian... (it's my LARP association' one) But I'll make a page for the game soon, which will be bilingual. Give me the time! ;p

Awesome game youve made. youve almost nailed the difficulty level. nice and challening.
The classes will need some balancing, The archer is overpowered as his hit and run works very well. The warrior is awesome with his shield but he cant seem to kill the mage boss. the mage is good but a bit too weak and flimsy. and the cleric's healing is way underpowered.
I advice you make the mage boss easier with the warrior, give him something to be able to tackle him.
CHANGE: Make the mages skills do LESS damage to SHIELDS. this way warriors and clerics stand a better chance, and it doesnt make it easier for archers/mages PLEASE
Give the cleric a better special recharge at the basic stats to make him more useful.
And like someone else said tell us where the spawn points are. my archer died because he was circling and shooting only to get enemies spawned besides him and stabbed.
Also the cowardly flanking with the archer is too effective :p check the highscores, poor clerics
But overall an awesome game, well done
and for those of you that say the game is hard try *SPOILERS*
Either get a warrior:
and put everything in strength, use the shield and rush into every enemy, the shield should hopefully last until the end of the second round at which point you have 15g to buy another shield. just use your money to buy shields and make sure you face all your enemies.
Or get a archer, put 2 points in attack speed and 1 points in movement speed. and just run away from your enemies whislt shooting them. if you keep running the arrows should miss and the melee enemies should not be able to reach you.
Use all your points in run speed when you level up and you should keep outrunning damage.
For the mage boss, use the archer with the same technique, if you can kill the mage boss with a warrior or cleric then your better then me and everyone on the highscore board
GREAT GAME! SEQUEL :D
Ray
Apologies for blabbing on
Author's Response:
i won't call this "babbling". I'd use the word: "constructive criticism" :)
As for other suggestions, I'll consider some of them for implementing right away, like the mages doing less damage to shield, and powering up the cleric healing. (consider it done!)
Some other issues needs more thought (and coding!) But I'll consider them too. The difference in difficulties with the classes is there to add some challenge to the game.
I'd say that the warrior is the easiest, but of course it depends on gamestyle. (Running round with the archer is certainly a good technique but I prefer to face the enemy!)
Thank you!
